Happy Spring Equinox, Ostara, and New year!
Winter unraveled us. It stripped us bare, made us sit with the weight of our own bones, the ghosts of our own making. In the hush of the long nights, we listened. To the ache, to the echoes, to the dreams curled deep within us, waiting for the thaw.
We have spent the winter in deep introspection, nestled in the quiet of our inner world, allowing old stories to decompose like leaves on the forest floor.
Now, the light shifts. The earth stirs. But we are not yet in the full bloom of spring
—this is the liminal space, the slow stretch, the exhale after holding so much.
Now, the season of germination begins. Do not rush your emergence.
It is time for the tending. For breath work at dawn, hands in the soil, clearing the path for what is to come.
Let yourself shift. Let yourself move differently.
When a plant isn’t growing or thriving, you don’t try to fix the plant itself, instead you fix the environment around the plant. Like a plant, you do not need to be fixed, you simply need to create an environment that nurtures your growth.
Spring does not rush its arrival. Let yourself unfurl at your own pace.
The work is already happening. You are already becoming. Let it be slow. Let it be intentional.
There is no need to force or rush what’s already coming to you.
Pause and take a deep breath.
The wheel turns once more, and the light grows stronger. The Spring Equinox stands as a threshold, a moment of perfect balance between darkness and light.
The Spring Equinox reminds us that we are always in a cycle of becoming. We are never stagnant, never truly finished growing. This is a time to step into the light while honoring the wisdom of the dark—to let ourselves soften, to trust that what we plant now will bloom in time.
When the world feels heavy and overwhelmed by darkness, it is up to us to fight the evil forces with our light. Welcoming Spring and tending to your inner nature is a powerful way to bring much needed magic into the world and to resist against a reality that continues to drain our energy.
We carry the power to reimagine the world we want to see and bring forth. A liberated world. A caring world. A world where magic, community, love, compassion, and kingship lead.
Don’t you dare allow this evil to snatch your souls… resist.
Find joy. Create magic. Love harder. Rest more. Dream more.
Start to find the balance between showing up and living your best life.
May this season bring you renewal, clarity, and the courage to dream anew.

Teas for the Transition from Winter to Spring
As we leave the heaviness of winter, we need teas that bridge the transition. Something to wake us up without jolting us forward.
• Nettle & Dandelion – To clear what lingers, to nourish what is new.
• Ginger & Lemon Balm – To bring warmth, to ease the shift, to soften the edges.
• Chamomile & Peppermint – To remind us to slow down, to clear both mind & body.
• Rose & Tulsi – To open the heart, to return to ourselves with gentleness.
Drink with presence. Let each sip be a small act of alignment.
A year of blessings simmer pot
Simmer pots are modern-day magical cauldrons. This simmer pot carries the energies of the plant spirits that love to bless and bring in joy. This is a recipe I shared for the simmer pot card of the Seasons of The Witch - Ostara Deck.
Directions:
Cut 3 to 4 yucca roots in half and add them to a pot of boiling water. After 5 minutes, add 1 tbs of grated ginger, 1 smashed garlic clove, 3 to 4 yucca leaves, 1 tbs of cinnamon, 1 tsp of grapeseed oil or oil of your choice, and 1 tsp of Himalayan pink salt.
Add ½ cup of honey or maple syrup and simmer for about 1 minute, then remove from the heat. Allow the mixture to sit for a few hours, which I suggest you do while you clean your home. Open the windows and put on some cheerful music. Dance around while you clean, just setting yourself free and being in the moment.
Here are some alternatives for the ingredients:
• Yucca roots & leaves → Bay leaves, rosemary, or sage (for protection, cleansing, and blessings)
• Grated ginger → Orange peel, lemon peel, or turmeric (for warmth, prosperity, and vitality)
• Garlic clove → Onion skins, cloves, or thyme (for protection, purification, and strength)
• Cinnamon → Nutmeg, allspice, or star anise (for abundance, luck, and spiritual connection)
• Grapeseed oil → Olive oil, coconut oil, or jojoba oil (for nourishment, prosperity, and longevity)
• Himalayan pink salt → Sea salt, black salt, or Epsom salt (for purification, grounding, and protection)
• Honey or maple syrup → Brown sugar, molasses, or agave syrup (for sweetness, attraction, and blessings)
Sugar Cookie with Edible Flowers
Sugar Cookie with Edible Flowers recipe: or follow this simple recipe here.
Ingredients
For the Cookies:
• 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
• 1 cup granulated sugar
• 1 large egg
• 1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract
• 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
• ½ teaspoon baking powder
• ½ teaspoon salt
For Decoration:
• 1–2 cups edible flowers (pansies, violas, calendula, chamomile, lavender, nasturtiums, etc.)
• 1 egg white (optional, for better adhesion)
• 1 teaspoon water (if using egg white)
• Granulated sugar (for sprinkling, optional)
Instructions
1. Prepare the Dough
• In a large bowl, beat the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy (about 2–3 minutes).
• Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until fully combined.
• In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually mix into the wet ingredients until a dough forms.
2. Chill the Dough
• Divide the dough into two discs, wrap them in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (or up to overnight).
3. Roll and Cut the Cookies
• Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
• On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough to about ¼-inch thickness. Cut into rounds or shapes using a cookie cutter.
4. Prepare the Flowers
• Gently rinse the edible flowers and pat them dry. Remove any tough stems.
• If using the egg white method, lightly whisk the egg white with a teaspoon of water.
5. Decorate
• Place the cookies on the baking sheet and gently press the flowers onto the dough.
• If using egg white, brush a thin layer over the flowers to help them adhere. Alternatively, press them lightly so they naturally stick.
• Sprinkle with a little granulated sugar if desired for a slight crunch.
6. Bake
• Bake for 10–12 minutes, until the edges are just barely golden. The cookies should remain pale.
• Let them cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Storage
• Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week, or freeze for longer storage.
Book Recommendation
The book I recommend this Spring - my book, Plant Witchery. It’s time to decolonize your plant wisdom, magic, and properties. It’s time you created a relationship with nature and to learn how to develop plant language. It’s time to come back home to who you are and all the interconnectedness woven into your being.
Abre Camino Floor Wash ( from my book, Plant Witchery) It’s perfect to do now or anytime this month to open and clear your path.

The message was much needed today. I've been beating myself up for letting the day come and go without my full attention, because to be honest it's been a heavy one. But you remind me that it's been heavy precisely because I am waking and rising and shifting and evolving, and what better way to honor this place in the cycle? I will find peace easing into it at my pace, thank you forever, Juliet!
